PVW PARTNERS RECOGNISED FOR LEADERSHIP GROWTH

    2nd November 2018

PVW Partners’ Carl Valentine has taken out the Australian Centre for Business Growth Director’s Award for Most Growth as a Leader, during the recently completed cohort of “Growing Queensland’s Companies".

Mr Valentine said the recognition was humbling and a positive acknowledgment that the firm’s growth strategy to double the size of the business by 2021 was on the right track.

“PVW Partners has set a course to double the current size of the business, with a clear focus on our purpose of Regional Australians Growing Regional Australia. We’re committed to engaged delivery and specialised expertise to really help people in our market grow their part of regional Australia,” Mr Valentine said.

“When we were at PwC we were part of a really big organisation and we didn’t have as much autonomy to make decisions around how to grow, whereas now we’re the ones responsible. If we don’t grow the business now one else is going to be doing it so the buck stops with us.

“We’re focused on our clients and our market and through that focus, growing the firm, creating more opportunities for people to become owners of PVW Partners, creating more opportunities for the current team to take on more senior roles and do more interesting work, while also creating more opportunities for more employment in regional Australia,” Mr Valentine said.

Partners Greg Peel, Carl Valentine and Andrew Whitehead recently completed the Australian Centre for Business Growth program.

Mr Valentine said the program has been a game-changer for PVW Partners, offering a unique opportunity to work with experts on shaping the future of the firm, while also creating a new network.

“It was incredible when we got away from the office we actually started to generate ideas because we could think about things other than being caught up in the day to day,” Mr Valentine said.

“Going on the course allowed us to reshape our relationships, understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses and how we collaborate more effectively to grow the business together.

“It also allowed us to look at other business owners and what they’re trying to achieve. We have learned a lot from their ideas, while also sharing our own ideas, which were then moderated and critiqued, so we could refine and shape them before we look to implement them.”

Mr Valentine will join a panel of Alumni CEOs on the Five Ways to Accelerate Growth Workshop which will be held in Townsville on the 16th of November 2018.
